Basket ball Match and Visit Ti IIM-C

Yesterday we had our trails and team selections for Badminton,TT,Volley Ball,Basketball @ IIM-C sports Complex .Later in the day we had Basket ball Match with IIM-C>It was all one man show by Gobind.We dont have a proper team ,as we are a small bunch of 50 odd guys and the team was formed then and there.... though we lost the match by 39-29 points...overall i can we are satisfied by the tough fight given by us.Papa(Anurag ) had a nice time there .Later we played a volleyball match (friendly one) in which we defeated the IIM -C (though its not their complete team)..some ray of hope that we can win atleast one match.
One thing peculiar abt members of our team and IIMc is IIMc had different players for different gmaes whereas we had the same set of people palying all the games..

And of the 10-12 member sports team nearly 8 members are from our "The Drinking Club ".
The drinkign club is not only good in boozing but also in sports,studies(the 2nd ,3rd,5th etc) are from our gang .. ;)
Nice going drinkign club..we want to make this stronger..

Lost the Cricket Match with IIM-C

Atlast the D Day has arrived and it was not a good day for us (IIFT) as we lost the Cricket Match to IIM-C.The Match started @ around 11 am.The match was for 25 Overs.We won the toss and elected to bat and scored a decent 145 in 25 overs.The IIM-C team chased it in 19 overs losing 4 wickets.
Though it was disappointing to loose the match.. on a positive side we batted for whole 25 overs (which we r not potimistic as our team was formed just 2 days ago).Hope this event will lead to one more interesting event like the XLRI and IIM-C sports fest..

we have other sports cometitions over the next two days.Will keep ypun updated on those.

Sports Meet With IIM-C (New Chapter in IIFT-Kolkata's History)

We have a three day sports meet with IIM-C scheduled on 29th ,Cricket match and various other games like VolleyBall,Tennis,Basket Ball,chess ,TT ,Badminton oyn 31st and 1st of febrauary.Team Selections r going on.. I am palying Volley Ball and Cricket..Played for 3 hours Yesterday.. after nearly 3 years.....so full of body pains today.....Have practice sessions and team selections for other games tomorrow........Eagerly waiting for the Sports meet.IIFt pride @ stake..

My First Post.............

Hi all.Officially i too became an active blogger from today onwards!!!Well about me..
Did my schooling in Andhra Pradesh.The for my engineering in IIIT came to City of Joy calcutta.After spending 4 years here , joined TCS hyderabad and worked there for 2 years till June 2006.It seems I have made many sins in previous birth(therz a saying people who made sins in previous birth will land in west bengal in this birth !!!!!), Calcutta came calling me again...this time for my MBA @ IIFT...same old place,same people,same culture.. boring........Have to spend 2 more years till March 2008.......thats it abt me....
